Sweating is an elementary process for balancing the temperature of the body. However, excessive sweating – hyperhidrosis – frequently represents a serious psychological burden for patients. The most common form, primary hyperhidrosis, mainly affects the armpits, feet, hands or face. The most frequent form, primary hyperhidrosis, generally affects armpits, feet, hands or face. Emotional sweating most frequently appears in the armpits, coupled with the fear of smelling unpleasantly or traces of the sweat being visible to everyone. Hyperhidrosis treatment using botulinum toxin can eliminate the production of sweat in armpits, the palms of the hands and on the soles of the feet, or at least significantly reduce it.
